The next day of our trip, we spent the morning in Gamla Stan or The Old Town. It is a gorgeous part of the city, but the wretched weather was unfortunate. Everything got wet and it was impossible to keep the map dry. We did see the royal palace, the houses of parliament, and we went to the old map shop. But we soon decided to have another coffee break and dry up a bit. Luck was on our side this time as it stopped raining during our time at the café. So we spent some more time strolling around in the old town and in some of the many souvenir shops. The street in the picture is Mårten Trotzigs gränd., Stockholm's most narrow street. It's only 90cm wide at the farther end! At that end, the lanterns almost touch the opposite wall.
