Ecotron.

Yesterday was "Dag van de wetenschap", a day in which science is promoted by the Flemish government, universities, colleges, companies, museums, etc. My sister and I went to visit Ecotron. This new site is built to study effects of the climate on local patches of heath. Inside these domes, researchers will be able to measure and control things like humidity, temperature, level of CO2 and see how it affects the heath and the soil it lives in. Very interesting!

The building got me a bit concerned though. It reflects its surroundings and blends in splendidly! But then, won't many birds die by hitting it?
